About me
Hi - my name is Mathieu and my year of born was 1946.
When I was 14, I got my first "guitar nerves" and tried to take my first musical steps on an acoustic guitar. After some time of self-education I changed over to an electrical guitar.
In those days in the sixties the great guitar-bands were often in the hit charters with new guitar-sounds.
So I like the sound of the instrumentals of The Shadows very much, as well as The Ventures, The Spotnicks and so many other musicians.
I went to play the lead guitar in a non-professional band at that time. At the age of 21 I got married and once married, I quit playing the guitar in a band and dedicated all my time to my job and my family.
In 1985 I started again with playing the lead guitar in a non-professional band just for the fun. At the end of the year 2004 I stopped playing in the band to take it easy for health reasons.
At the beginning of the year 1999 I discovered surfing the internet and the fantastic sites about the guitar-bands like The Shadows, The Ventures and The Spotnicks.
On the net I saw the idea of mixing real guitar-sound with the sound of midi files and started experimenting with this idea.
You have found the results of these experiments on my homepage and I hope you can appreciate them.

Welcome to my website!
The increasing impact of the electric guitar, amps and effects in the music of the sixties created the basis for the typical instrumental guitar music from the sixties. Many groups brought original versions of well known musical titles as guitar instrumentals. By doing this they had a great musical influence on the various movements in modern music. Some of these groups became very famous and were regularly in Europe in the top of the pops like : The Shadows - The Ventures - The Spotnicks . . . . As an amateur guitar player I'm still a big fan from this genre. I was fascinated by the idea to use the midi music from the internet to make guitar instrumentals at home with the computer. I have a lot of fun, after a long learning time, in making guitar instrumentals with the computer. You will find examples of these on my website.
